Psalm 72 - In this psalm, David prays to God on behalf of the entire Church for the ongoing prosperity of the kingdom promised to him. He also teaches us that true happiness for the godly lies in being ruled by a king who has been appointed to the throne by divine will.

Psalm 73 - David, or the psalm's author, challenges human judgment and begins by praising God's righteousness and goodness. He observes the wicked thriving in wealth and pleasures, mocking God and tormenting the righteous. Meanwhile, the faithful suffer troubles and sorrows, while God seems idle and unconcerned, which almost leads him to abandon religion and fear of God. He then criticizes his own hasty judgment based on appearances and emphasizes the need for patience to preserve faith amid distress. Ultimately, he concludes that if we allow God's providence to unfold, circumstances will change, revealing that the righteous will receive their rewards and the wicked will face divine judgment.
