Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church is officially affiliated with only two nonprofit organizations that operate in support of its mission outside of the organizational structure of the African Methodist Episcopal Church:
- Historic Mother Emanuel AMEC Foundation, Inc.
- Mother Emanuel Memorial Foundation
These are the only nonprofit organizations officially recognized and authorized by Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Any organization not listed above is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.
The Reverend Dr. Eric S. C. Manning, Senior Pastor of Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, serves as Chair of the Historic Mother Emanuel AMEC Foundation, Inc. and Co-Chair of the Mother Emanuel Memorial Foundation, providing leadership and oversight in advancing the mission and stewardship of both organizations.
