Psalms 85 prt 1
Psalm 85 paints a beautiful picture of revival as both a divine gift and a heartfelt longing. The psalmist recalls how God once restored His people, forgiving their sins and turning away His anger, and then pleads for that same renewal in the present. Revival, in this sense, is more than emotional excitement—it is God breathing fresh life into weary souls, turning hearts back to righteousness, and restoring joy in His presence. It is the meeting place where mercy and truth embrace, and righteousness and peace kiss, ushering in a season where the land yields its harvest and God’s glory dwells among His people. True revival is God’s work, but it begins with a humble, desperate cry: “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?”
