Psalm 3. The Dark Hour - This is the first psalm to bear a title and is one of fourteen that are thereby linked with historical episodes, all in the life of David (Pss 3, 7, 18, 30, 34, 51, 52, 54, 56, 57, 59, 60, 63, 142). His flight from Absalom is recounted in 2 Samuel 15:13.
