Nehemiah Series - Restoration Begins with Prayer

 In his prayer, he wanted to remove any possible obstacles that would hinder his prayer from reaching the mercy seat of God. 

Nehemiah's “day and night” prayer was no “vain repetition,” as his wounded spirit and humble faith gave life to every utterance. He had two facts before him—the greatness of God and the sinfulness of God’s chosen people. On these, he would graft the return of the people and the mercy of God.
